Karl-Marx Platz 18, Berlin
Event Description:
In 2015 Stanzie as awarded the Joseph Plaskett award for Painting, which funds a year of travel and research in Europe. This award was the start of a nomadic painting existence, which finally settled in Berlin. Years of travel confused Tooth’s sense of “place” and “home” and her recent mixed media works turn to an internal landscape. For her discussion at Le Salon, Stanzie will present new mixed media works and talk about being lost and found in paint.

Event Description:
Last year’s winner of the Joseph Plaskett Award, Stanzie Tooth has recently completed residencies in Iceland and Berlin. Her enigmatic paintings explore our complicated relationship with place and belonging.
